About the Host
Arif Rafiq is president of Vizier Consulting, LLC, a political risk advisory company focused on the Middle East and South Asia. He is also a non-resident scholar at the Middle East Institute. Arif has conducted studies on the economic, political, and strategic implications of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). A frequent contributor to print and web publications, Arif has written for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, and The National Interest. In addition to this podcast, Arif is working with Tabadlab on a series of papers and policy roundtables focused on the role of China in the world.
